Overview: The 4th annual Artisano is a celebration of small production, locally handcrafted wine, food
and art and the people who produce it. It takes place on November 17, 2012 at Vintners
Inn in the heart of Sonoma County’s Wine Country. The event features an opportunity to
discover local artisan wines rarely available to the general public, restaurants featuring
locally sourced seasonal ingredients, local specialty food purveyors, as well as, several of
the region’s premier artists. Other highlights include silent auction and raffle benefitting
the Ceres Community Project, celebrity chef demonstrations/book signings, and live music.
An intimate, four-diamond, 44-room luxury hotel and 10,000 square foot convention
facility conveniently located in the heart of Sonoma County's famous wine country.
Recognized by Conde Nast Traveler as one of the “world’s best places to stay”, Vintners Inn
is surrounded by the scenic Northern California landscape, 92 acres of lush vineyards, and
beautifully landscaped grounds with courtyards and fountains.
The annual Artisano event to take place Nov 17th from 12-4pm at the Vintner's Inn. In the past, this event benefited Slow Food, but the beneficiary has been changed to The CERES Project.
Ceres Community Project works to restore locally-grown, organic whole food to its place as
the foundation of health for people, communities and the planet. Ceres Community
Project operates through an integrated model that gives teens experiences of growing and
preparing healthy food, provides those facing cancer and other life-threatening illnesses
with nourishing meals, and educates the larger community about the connection between
food, healing and wellness.
This is a selling event, and there is no vendor fee. They have limited space for fine food producers to participate, but on an invitation-only basis. they already have confirmation from 3 cheesemakers who participated last year (Redwood Hill, Bleating Heart, Shamrock), but they want to invite up to 6 more CACG cheesemakers.
