Full-Time Cheese Monger/Manager – Cheese Shop Santa Barbara
Cheese Shop Santa Barbara, a small, family-owned, cut & wrap cheese shop in, well, Santa Barbara, CA. We are looking to bring on board an experienced cheese monger / manager. We’re happy to talk to people with varying levels of experience, but some level staff management and cheese service is a requirement.
This is a full-time position (35+ hours per week) and our open days are Tuesday – Saturday (closed Sunday & Monday). We are closed all major holidays, as well as 2 days at Christmas and several days after NYE.
Cheese Shop SB opened back in 2003 as a teeny little shop. We’ve grown and expanded over the years and currently have a 3,000 square foot facility, selling cheeses as well as standard cheese-shop accompaniments (cured meats, wine, etc..). In addition, we have a busy catering department which focuses on cheese & charcuterie platters, and we also make a ton of delicious house-made products. We’re in downtown SB and have a great clientele, most of whom are locals and we know by name.
Business-wise we hunkered down throughout the pandemic and are now getting to a point where we’re looking to begin actively growing the business again.
Wages will depend on experience and job responsibilities.
